Full-Time Basis Farm to Chef Sales Associates
New York, NY We’ve got good food, now we need to get the word out! We are looking for commission-based sales associates to help us expand the market for good food in the New York metropolitan area, delivered directly from small and mid-size family farms.
Responsibilities: Basis Farm to Chef Sales Associates are responsible for signing up new customers to buy good food directly from producers through Basis Farm to Chef. A Basis Farm to Chef Sales Associate will be responsible for developing relationships and signing up new farmers, chefs, and other wholesale buyers to become members of the Basis Farm to Chef service.
Qualifications: Successful candidates should have a passion for good food, and a strong interest in developing relationships with restaurants and retailers in New York City. A Basis Sales Associate should be familiar with agricultural practices and willing to learn more about food that is traditional, localized and 100% traceable. To be successful in the role, candidates must also be organized, receptive to customer feedback, and have a flexible, can-do approach to sales and product sourcing. College degree a plus.
