Full-Time Basis Good Food Forager

New York, NY We are on the hunt for folks with purchasing experience to help us source more small and mid-size family farms to work with! We are looking for commission-based Good Food Foragers to help us expand the market for good food in the New York metropolitan area, delivered directly from small and mid-size family farms.

Responsibilities: Basis Good Food Foragers are responsible for signing up new farms and artisanal producers to sell good food through Basis. A Basis Good Food Forager will be responsible for developing relationships and signing up new family farms and artisanal producers to become members of the service.

Qualifications: Successful candidates should have a passion for good food, and a strong interest in developing relationships with family farmers. A Basis Good Food Forager should be familiar with agricultural practices and willing to learn more about food that is traditional, localized and 100% traceable. To be successful in the role, candidates must also be organized, receptive to customer and producer feedback, and have a flexible, can-do approach to sales and product sourcing. College degree a plus.
